Cherukavu Panchayat – Operation Vrithi 2026

As directed in the online meeting convened by the Hon. Joint Director on 15 June 2026, Cherukavu Grama Panchayat conducted a night-time inspection on 15 June 2026 at around 11 establishments, including shops, cool bars, street-food stalls, and hotels in Periyambalam.
As part of the inspection conducted under Operation Vrithi, water samples from two establishments were tested. The test reports showed higher levels of coliform bacteria. Notices were issued to the concerned establishments directing them to carry out super-chlorination of the water and conduct a re-test.
The inspection was led by Smt. Ashifa Vallikkadan, Health Inspector, along with Clerks Muhammad Nisar P., Sinsar K. M., and Muhammad Nahas Alungal (PA), and Driver Mubashir.
In the coming days, inspections will be conducted at all shops and hotels within the Panchayat limits, and necessary action will be taken based on the findings.
